2000 Andrea Doria Photos VI

All images on this page © 2000 by Christina Young.

These are pictures from the 2000 Seeker / Mad Dog 3-day expedition to the Andrea Doria, approximately 107 miles off Montauk, New York, under 250 feet of water in the North Atlantic, which took place on July 29-31, 2000 (continued from page V).

Andrew Driver jumps in with his Cis-Lunar rebreather.
A nice bucket full of china.
The "human strobe" George Place assists Sean Holland in gearing up.  George is afraid of being lost at sea after his U-869 ordeal on another boat, so he isn't taking any chances.  ;-)
Heidi Mason and Terry Martzall sing the ballad of George Place.  It describes how he was lost at sea in high current, the chase boat's motor wouldn't start, and his rescue by the commercial fishing boat Yankee Pride.  Hey, on these long Doria trips, sometimes you have some time on your hands!
Seeker mate Terry Martzall goes to pull the hook at the end of our three days out over the Doria.
This is a T-shirt that one of the Swedes wore -- "Doing it very very wrong"!
And here's what the mad rush looks like once we get back to the dock at Star Island!  I hope you have enjoyed my Year 2000 Andrea Doria expedition pictures!
